|I’m in LUST. Pure, unadulterated LUST. With my new bike…a Rocky Mountain Altitude 29’er. I still need to make some minor adjustments, but all in all, it was soooooo easy to make the switch. This bike handles like a dream in tight rooty corners (Papa Smurf), flies down the hills with abandon, and cruised across flats with ease.
The problems that I had were the position of the brake levers – too far up which really made my old lady arthritis kick in, the saddle position – just need a bit of a tweak, and the tires – just too burly for dry and rocky. I was getting bucked all over the place. I may have to work on the gearing too, since I felt like I was dying on the uphills. Of course, this could be merely the fact that I haven’t ridden Prospect or climbed much in the last month because of all the work.
I may try my old Monkey bars instead of the flat bars as my old upper back injury is starting to ache, but otherwise, I can’t wait to ride again!
So, my goal is to get 30 days on this puppy before Thanksgiving.
Do you hear me snow???!!! Stay the f away….sorry all you skiers out there…but that’s what happens when you’re in lust…everything goes to hello
